We’re excited to share that StreetLight Data has a new public agency partner: Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). The agency recently signed up for a one-year pilot of our Regional Subscription to StreetLight InSight®, the first online platform that turns Big Data from mobile devices into transportation Metrics.
MnDOT’s Regional Subscription provides designated users with unlimited access to StreetLight InSight for Metrics in the state of Minnesota (and a buffer area). That meansMnDOT’s Regional Subscription users can design and run as many StreetLight InSighttransportation studies as desired to during their subscription term – without any incremental costs or additional procurement processes.
Planners at MnDOT intend to use the StreetLight InSight platform for all types transportation, event and development work, including preparing for upcoming events like the Minnesota State Fair, the Renaissance Festival and Super Bowl LII.
Per Paul Czech, Planning Manager with MnDOT Metro District’s office of Planning, Program Management, and Transit, “We are piloting a comprehensive Regional Subscription so that we can get travel data when and how we want. We also aim to save budget compared to collecting data for individual projects.”
